Ha Rav Avidan Elkin

Rabbi Avidan Elkin graduated NYU with a BA in 3 major concentrations: Theoretical Economics, French Language and Literature, and German Language and Literature. He speaks Hebrew, English, French, and German. He studied and lived in Israel at Yeshivat Ma'or Tuviah, Mizpeh Yeriho for six years, after which he received his Semikhah (Rabbinic ordination) from Rabbi Shabtai Sabbato, ShLIT"A. He currently teaches in Yeshiva University's Mechinah Program for beginners' Judaic studies.

Rabbi Elkin is a professional Sofer STa"M (Jewish calligrapher). He writes and checks Mezuzot, Tefillin and Megillot, and writes Gittin for the Beth Din of Elizabeth under the auspices of Rabbi Meir Eliezer Teitz and Rabbi Haim Jachter. He enrolled in Yeshivat Harav Yizchak Elchanan's Yadin-Yadin Kollel in January of 2008.
